Excel 97

Running Excel 97 on XP Pro machines. Win2K servers. Some users have a hard
time opening files from Windows Explorer. They get a message saying that the
file is already open by themselves and that is not the case. The "Ignore
other applications" box is unchecked, I unregistered and re-registered Excel
and removed the 1% in the registry key HKCR\Excel.Sheet.8\Shell\Open\command
.... They get the message about half of the times ... We are currently doing
some tests with SP4 Server hoping it will solve that problem ...Any ideas
???
