Excel 98 weirdness on new Power Mac G4

Hi, I'm booting up in OS 9.2.2, and the HOME and END keys are not
working. Ordinarily, the HOME key brings me back to column A of that
row, and the END-RETURN combination takes me to the last cell in that
row.

BTW, the CMD-HOME and CMD-END combinations are working properly. Any
ideas?
