I have an NT 4.0 SP6 loaded w/ office 2000. Whenever I
open excel or have a worksheet open, "Dr. Watson" comes up
w/ an access violation 0xc0000005 address 302a4515. I've
uninstalled/reinstalled office 2k and cleaned all xls file
extensions in the directory and registry and recreated.
Still to no avail. Ran Ad-aware, Spysweeper, and Spybot
thinking maybe some dumb little advertising program was
causing issues. Afterwards ran a chkdsk /f /r on both
local and partitioned drive. It's still coming back to
haunt. I'm a little lost right now. My eventvwr does not
show anything out of the ordinary. Wondering if a
permission problem exists in the NTFS. Any help is
appreciated.
