EXCEL ADD-IN AND SOLVER

Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)
Processor: Power PC

I too am finding the situation with Excel 2008 intolerable. Dutifully, I upgraded - dropping $130 in the process, only to find (much to my accounting teacher's surprise) that neither Solver or other Data Analysis Add-ins are available on Excel 2008. I use Office 2008 for Mac Students and Teachers. I see now that solver has become available. Any idea re: what to do about Add-ins or Data Analysis features? I'm a bit frightened to uninstall 2008 and reinstall 2004 as I have many files now saved in 2008. Advice anyone? This is incredibly frustrating. Thanks so much.

1. Microsoft has a form to fill out to get your money back on Office 2008.

2. Save your 2008 files in some common format, reinstall 2004 and Live Free!
