I'm not really sure when the "Add-in" button appeared on my ribbon, but it
was either after an update or installation of a program. Everytime I would
open an existing Excel file, it would not come up directly and came up under
the "add-in" tab. Then I could hit the "home" tab & begin working in the
file. This really aggravated me because I wanted the file to open
immediately to begin working. I read where to remove the "COM" add-ins
because I thought they were what was causing the problem. So, I did whatever
to take them out. Now, when I go to open a file, it takes even longer to
pull up. It goes first to the "add-in" button like before, but nothing
happens until I right click to "open" & then it finally opens. HOW DO I STOP
THIS! It's driving me crazy & slowing me down so much. Please help me get
it back working the way it was prior to the "add-ins" feature. Can this be
removed or is there a setting where it will open directly to the "home" tab
like before. If I'm starting a new document it is fine. It only does this
when I'm using an existing document. Thanks so much.
