EXcel and Access security

I have read the previous thread about using MSquery from Excel on an Access
database. This is the question I need to ask but I didn't understand the
answer. I get the permissions error message whether or not the database is
secured. It is not me that wants to use MSquery in Excel as I am not that
familiar with it but I was asked to give the permissions. I know how to do
this for Access objects but not for Excel.
