Excel and hyperlinks

Hello there,

It seems that hyperlinks added to a cell only works when the file which
is referred to is in the same map as the source file. I get the errror
message that the file cannot be opened when this file is in another map.
Can't find the reason why and more important how to solve this.

Mac OS/X 10.5.3
Office 2008 sp1

Thnx

This might look like the second post, but it seems that the former one

Hi,

No problem about the multiple postings.

Is the file being linked to located on a server, or just another place
on your hard drive?

If it is on a server or shared directory, then there could be "symbolic"
links instead of actual ones being created. Those won't always work.

Thanks for responding.

All files are on my harddrive and probably on shared directories
