I'm having major problems with Office 2003.
In fact its all of office, excluding outlook (which works fine).
When I try to open a file (document/spreadsheet) through windows
explorer the program will launch, then it will just hang forever.
If I try to launch the program itself thrugh the start menu, it will
launch, hang for around a minute, and then act completely normal. I
can then open files through File->Open to my hearts content with no
slowdown at all.
But somethng is obviously not right, I cannot open anything through
the file itself, which is quite frustrating.

Things I have tried (in no paticular order)
Uninstall/Reinstall office
Run the office 'detect and repair' utility.
Run MS RegCleaner
Run Anti-virus/Spy-ware utilities.
Deleted and re-installed the printers.
Deleted %mydocuments%/application data/office
Deleted normal.dot
Ran windows and office update.
Set all 'non-microsft' services not to start up in msconfig.
None of these have helped so now I am running out of ideas.
Event viewer shows an error but just says Application Hang and offers
no useful information (standard mem location).
Can you offer me any tips?
