Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) Processor: Intel when I open up a worksheet the view is too small so I zoom to 150% which is perfect. I cannot find a way to keep this preference as my default when opening other worksheets. i am a new user for Mac. thanks

You can't do this in Excel 2008 because it has no VBA.

Each workbook will open at the zoom ratio it was last saved at.

In the next version of Excel, you will be able to make a simple macro to set
the zoom on opening.

Cheers

thank you John - very helpful. I am loving my switch to iMac and finding that if I just take the time to have fun while I research most issues are made clear. Cheers from Canada

Good :) I just spent two hours trying to explain to someone how to prevent
Apple Mail from resampling a photo she wanted to email :)

The real issue was "finding" the original file...

Cheers

BUT...
You can save a workbook template zoomed to the size you want. this will
be used every time you select a new workbook. Likewise you can do this
with a worksheet template to be used every time you add a worksheet to a
workbook. check help on Templates. Post back ehre if you have any more
questions.

You're doing it right :)

If replying to an existing message you first need to click the "Reply to
this Message" link in order to have the message box appear. Once you enter
your reply click the "Publish" button to submit the message.

If you want to submit a new message on a different subject use the "ask a
new question" link in the upper left beneath the Search box.
