I have a file that is saved by pwd protection. When i open the file it asks
for the password and give the password give ok. Now the dialog box ask for
write password, here just below the Password title bar 'filename.xls'
reserved by ABCD is shown. Now a few day later i appended some thing to the
same file and renamed it to JAN.xls . Now when i try to open, it will ask me
for the password, Now the dialog box ask for write password, here just below
the Password title bar 'filename.xls' reserved by ABCD , This ABCD have
changed to some Korean/Japanese character and the excel exits with an error.
Macros are enabled in the worksheet and all files are well protected by anti
virus. OS is XP and Office is 2000. Why is ths happening. Any help is
appreciated.
