Excel Area Chart making colors the same

I'm converting a numer of excel workbooks originally designed in Office/Excel
2003 into ones that are compatible for 2007/2003 users and running into a
problem with the area plots (which due to scaling (using VBA auto-open) can
have anywhere from a couple legend entries up to 10-12) colors. All the
entries have unique colors when the file(s) are generated using 2003, but,
when using 2007, the first 3 (the lowest 3) have unique colors, but all the
rest have the same color. I've tried to find various legendkeys
methods/record a macro but so far have not found any solution that works when
generating these files in 2007.
