Excel Auto-Fit of Rows and Columns

I am using auto-fit for the heights of the columns but for some reason it
does cover up parts of the content. Also for the width some sentences do
cross the right border.
I tried to put the spreadsheet into a new document and also tried to copy
cell by cell into a band new document, but for some reason the same issue
keeps coming up.
I would be very thankful if someone could help me with that problem.

Maria,

Text will cross over to the right if the "Wrap Text" option is not set.
Format->Cells, in the Alignment tab, make sure "Wrap Text" is checked.

Auto-fit for row heights will not work if there are merged cells in the row.
