Excel calculation display

How can you display the calculation in an individual cell, as you can in the regular version of excel on Windows? I recall it's usually located below the toolbar icons and above the actual spreadsheet.

You can't display the calculation in only one specific cell, so it sounds
like you're looking for the Formula Bar. Go to the View menu & select it to
turn it on. In 2008, however, it does not display in the workbook window. It
floats, but can be docked at the bottom edge of the Menu bar above the
window.
