Excel Calculation

I click Tools, Options, Calculation and then click the Manual radio button
and turn off the Recalc Before Save. Then I Save the workbook and exit. When
I open the workbook again, the Calculation has gone back to Automatic. I have
only noticed this on my home computer. At work the setting stays on Manual
until I physically click the Automatic button again.

I use Office Professional 2003 but noticed it on my Office Professional 2000
too. What is wrong?

Excel takes it's calculation setting from the first workbook you open in a
session and applies that to all subsequent books open. Is it possible you
are opening a workbook at home before you open the workbook in question.

Personal.xls maybe?? Opens up without you seeing it. Possible you have this
at home but not at work.

No. The problem only occurs at home. It is the only workbook I open in the
session.

Go to Window unhide and see if it is listed there, if so, Unhide it, reset
the option to Automatic via Tools>Options... and then save the personal.xls
and rehide it via Window>Hide

If it asks to save personal.xls on closing answer yes

The only thing I saw there was something called jwpacke.xls. I didn't unhide
it because I don't know what it is.
