"Excel cannot open this file"

I'm getting this error message, Excell cannot open this file, the file
might have been damaged or corrupted...

It occurs consistently in a small workbook (containing 4 worksheets
with a fair amount of data and charts in each) when I copy a
worksheet. After copying I save the file, close it, and this error
pops up next time I try to open it. It is specific to this workbook.
Any ideas?

I'm afraid "any ideas" probably won't apply unless they're based on the
version of Excel & operating system you're using along with the specific
update levels of each. We have no way of knowing anything more than what you
tell us.

Hi Patrick, what's the Excel version? If you haven't upgraded it to the latest one (12.2.1), please try it and see whether this problem persists? If yes, could you please send me ([email protected]) a copy of uncorrupted spreadsheet (with privacy data removed) and the steps how to corrupt this workbook. I will investigate it.
