I have three computers that use an Excel 2000 spreadsheet
that loads data from an Access database via get data. The
first time I open the spreadsheet and it refreshes the
data I receive the following error message: "Excel caused
an invalid page fault in module MSJET40.DLL at
0167:1b10edbd". The next time I open the spreadsheet, it
works just fine. Here is the strange part, I have a third
computer running Excel and it does not have this problem.
Has anyone seen this type of problem before? How can I
isolate the differences between the two environments to
find the problem (DLL Hell?)? MSJET40.DLL is the same
Version and Date stamp on all computers (4.00.2927.17). I
have no real idea of the various versions and builds of
Excel on the different computers. I do know that the one
which works is an older build of Excel.
Thank you
