Excel Cell Height - white space

Despite having the wrap text box selected, trying format - row - autofit or
even selecting the whole spread sheet and double clicking on the margin
between the the rows my cells arent adjusting the row height correctly. They
are stopping so that the last line is partial hidden, that is you can't see
the bottom part of each letter so a y looks like a v. Any suggestions?

Mannually adjusting each row is annoying and the rows vary too much to set a
specific row height for the whole sheet. Is there some way in excel to
adjust the spacing above / below the text as you can in Word through format -
paragraph - spacing? Im using Excel 2002. Thanks

Few thoughts..

--Do you have a space at the beginning ot the cell content or a Tab which
force the data to the next line.
--Does Format>Cells>Alignment>Text Alignment help..

Hi Jacob
No to space at the begining of the cell. I can manaually add a bank row
after the text which forces the cell to put in more space but a) its manual
and b) this data then is pivoted so Im loathed to do that for each
problematic cell.

Format> Cells > Alignment > text alignment - Ive tried turning everything
off and the resetting to have the data at the top of the cell and text
wrapped but makes no difference.
