I have a project that requires putting over 180 charts into a PowerPoint
presentation. Is there a simple way to do this? And/Or is there a way to
view the charts in Excel without clicking on each tab?

thanks!

Hi Joules,
I have a project that requires putting over 180 charts into a
PowerPoint presentation. Is there a simple way to do this?

There are many ways depending upon such things as: do the charts exist
already? Are they all in one workbook? Do they need to be editable? Do
they need to be linked so that when the underlying data is changed the
charts get updated?
And/Or is there a way to view the charts in Excel without clicking on
each tab?

You can put lots of charts onto a single tab. Select a chart then use
the Chart menu and choose the Location option.

Thank you for your help Jim. If you don't mind my replying to your questions
and asking you for more advice, I'd really appreciate it.

We previously had all of these charts linked in Power Point, but the links
would continually break. So, we were looking for an alternative. However,
it's not too difficult to go in and fix the broken links.

The charts are all in one workbook, but each one is on a different sheet
which are linked to a production chart. They get updated every month.

Hope that helps. Thanks, again, for helping me out. Always learning new
things, that's what makes life exciting!

Hi Joules,

You have reminded me that some day I should finish writing an
explanation about various ways of linking charts to source data and
displaying those charts in Excel, PowerPoint and Word.

There are lots of different ways to do it, and each has its pluses and
minuses.

Have you tried Insert > Object > From File and then navigate to the
Excel workbook? If not, try that approach and see if it does the trick
for you.

Hi Jim!
Thanks, once again for your help. I will try that method and see what
happens. From the research I've been doing online, it sounds like we'll have
to get an "add-in" to do the task we're looking for. Which, will be fine.
It's just too bad that these two programs aren't more compatible somehow.
I'm not the most computer literate person, but it seems like it should be
possible.

Have a great day, and thanks again for your help and prompt response to my
posts. This forum is a great help!
