Excel Column/Row reversed

R

Ron Carr

I am trying to help a non-profit convert spreadsheet data to Access 2003.
Their spreadsheet data is reversed from what I would like (!), in that the
per-person data is in separate columns, and the field names are in each row!
Is there any easy way to import this stuff, or do I start coding.....
There are over 200 fields: collecting data for Government!!
Thanks!

Not a problem. open the workbook that has the data in it you want. Create a
new sheet, Select all the data. Do Copy, Paste Special-Transpose into the
new sheet. The transpose makes all the columns rows and all the rows
columns. Now it is in the form you would like (!).

Or, just turn you monitor on it's side, and it should look fine.
