Excel: Column widths get changed when another user opens my files

hello,

i save an excel file on a network drive and when another user opens it the
width of the columns are all changed.

what's going on? How can we get stop this?

Patrick,
Could it be that cells are formatted using a font that is missing on the
other computer? Then another font would be substituted, which might be wider
or narrower than the original font, making the cells appear to have changed
width.
Just an idea.

Same problem consistently. It's totally frustrating. Because I am working
with pretty large sheets
