No, the number of columns is fixed at 256 and cannot be
increased.

No, all versions of Excel have always had 256 columns,
and you will find that limit by lookup up "Specification" in your
Excel HELP. Specification Limits are builtin and you cannot
exceed them.

Hi Dan
The simple answer is NO.
But you could create new sheets and allow formulae to read
from, say, sheet1 to sheet2,etc.
Maybe you need to look at your requirements and put
certain fields on Sheet1, other needs on Sheet2 and then
your results and calculations on Sheet3
