excel compatibility issue

is excel xp compatible with excel nt? i have written a
spread in xp and hope to transfer to a computer running
nt - but don't have access right now otherwise i'd just
try it out... thanks

You could be correct,

Or maybe the reference is to the 32 bit version of Excel 5 called Excel for
Windows NT 5.0

He has a double asterisk by version 7 were he says the first 32 bit version
of excel. The asterisk states

** There was also 32-bit version of Excel 5, but it was not widely
distributed.

This was Excel NT 5.0
