Excel component won't display

Using FP 2002. I have been having this problem for 2-3 years. Originally put
an Excel spreadsheet as a component in one of our Village's web pages. Worked
fine. Basically just list several hundred records from the local cementary
that end user could scroll through. Wasn't interactive, wasn't meant to
allow anyone else to change, etc. very simple. then we started having display
problems. some end users couldn't view records at all on page. You see a
progress bar where it is loading the records and then when it is done all you
see is a half inch square in relief on the screen where the spreadsheet used
to display. I've seen it work OK on WIN98 and not. I've seen it work OK on
WINXP and Win 2000 and not. IE5 and IE6 and not. the computer I am typing on
right now was displaying it correctly on WINXP when I set it up for my wife a
couple of months ago but now it doesn't. Of course Microsoft has downloaded
some updates in that time. Anybody run into this before?

Thanks,

Ron
