I have had Excel 5.0 sucessfully installed in XP for 2
years and was using it daily for business. Today when I
attempted to open it a 'pop-up' titled: "16 Bit Windows
Subsystem", reported the following: "The system file is
not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows
applications". My choices for continuing are: "close"
or "ignore", neither of which opens Excel.
Can anyone tell me how to solve this problem. I ran a
Search typing in "Excel" and from what I can see, all or
most of the program is still on the hard drive. I also
ran System Restore twice (at different restore dates) with
no results.
Thank You! Jim
