Excel crash

I really need help. I'm in the midst of writing my project paper.
Today, when I try to open documents in excel, it says "the feature you
are trying to use is on network resource that is unavailable.I follow
all the instructions but end up with "Error 1706".I have been using
the same software for > 2 yr.

What's the preoblem? I can't afford to lose all my data.Please
HELP.Thanks.

Hi,

We don't know enough about your problem but two things you might consider -
copying the files to a USB and opening them on another computer.
