After using Solver, I can add some text to cells, but upon entering the
first letter after the equal sign for a formula, Excel crashes.
I generally skip Excel's attemp to repair the file or whatever it does,
as I have learned to save immediately after using Solver. When I bring
Excel up again, it does not "remember" the file on the "file" tab.
I have duplicated this with absolutely no other programs, antivirus -
nothing else running, not even hooked up to the internet, so it appears
to be a Windows/Excel/Solver based problem.
BTW, it used to work fine. I can think of nothing I have changed.
I also ran the detect and repair off the help menu and it still crashes,
and can find nothing in the knowledge base (not saying it isn't there,
though).
Any ideas?
