excel crashes when charting

Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)
Processor: Intel

Hi all, excel has been stable for a while (well relatively so, nothing like the windows version sadly)but now when I am creating simple charts it just crashes on me...done so many times today...anyone have any ideas?

If you look in the archives of this group:

You'll find that most of the reports of crashes while charting that have
been solved were the product either of corrupted preferences or of a
corrupted font. That may not be all that's happening, of course.

Make sure XL is updated to the latest version, of course.
