Excel crashes when editing PowerPoint graph

When editing a graph in PowerPoint, Excel will crash nearly every time. I can edit the graph if I convert the file to the old ppt format and select "Edit Exisiting" when I double-click in the chart. But in pptx format, it will cause Excel to crash. Here is the crash report:

Could you copy/paste the entire crash report into a mail and send it to me?
If you're able to send me your PowerPoint file that would help too. I'm
wondering if this might be the same problem people are reporting with the
crash when choosing Select Data.
