Excel crashes when opening

Hi all,

Please help me with a very annoying problem I have...

I have about 10 different Excel documents that crash the application
everytime I try and open them. 99% of my excel docs are fine, but
every now and again one of them decides to crash on opening. The error
message reads ’The application Excel has unexpectedly quit’. I’ve
tried opening them on other macs I have (all running OSX 10.2.8,
Office v.X) and the same happens, but the strange thing is I can open
them all on a pc, so the documents cannot be corrupt.
Is there a way I can open them on my mac?

This sure sounds like a font problem. Here are some troubleshooting
