During use excel and outlook quit giving similar error
messages in the event log. The system is up to date as far
as windows xp and office updates. If anyone has any ideas
why this happen, please let me know

The description for Event ID ( 1000 ) in Source (
Microsoft Office 10 ) cannot be found. The local computer
may not have the necessary registry information or message
DLL files to display messages from a remote computer. The
following information is part of the event: excel.exe,
10.0.5815.0, mso.dll, 10.0.4219.0, 003bf434.
