Excel cumipmt doesnt work even with analysis tool pack added in. Tried a
number of solutions eg basic terms, single period etc and I get either
'#NUM!' or '#NAME?'

All helpful replies appreciated.

You may well get it to work, but as someone who's been an investment analyst
for a dozen years, I say it's bad form to use. It's a function that is
unnecessary and never should have been written in the first place. If you're
using it, you're working with a loan, and if you're working with a loan, you
should build an amortization table. It's not hard.

Jasonic, I didn't realize that classical form applied to the application of a
useful shortcut in excel, by that rational we should go back to the purity of
using an abacus over a computer. Sorry mate, but you're not the only time
served analyst around.
