Excel Data Querry using criteria from Cell

Hello, I have created a data query in Excel using DATA - IMPORT EXTERNAL DATA
- NEW DATABASE QUERY and then selecting Access and browsing to an query
within an Access database. This query returns all data into excel, but I
would like to limit the criteria based on what a user has typed into a cell
in the Excel workbook. I thought this could be accomplished by clicking DATA
- IMPORT EXTERNAL DATA then PARAMETERS but the PARAMETERS option is grayed
out. I can select EDIT CURRENT QUERY, but this just brings me into the
Microsoft query, where I don't see any options to query based on a call. Any
ideas how I can do this?

Is there a way to do this using an entire column as OR criteria in the query?
What I have is a column full of ID's in excel, and I need to pull three
colums out of a database for each ID, and in some cases it is thousands of
ID's, so typing each one in or selecting each cell would be rather
cumbersome. Thank you for any help.

I would export the data as table (linked or otherwise) to the database and
then run a query against this new table to restrict the new query to just
these numbers and then return to Excel using this new query in the database

I was afraid of that. Thank you very much for your help. I learned a good
deal from your website.
