Excel data to transfer into MS word 97

B

BARRY ROUS

Dear MS experts.

Have got a problem trying to put a MS Excel database I have purchased, into MS Word 97 Mailmerge.

I have somehow managed to get the file into Word 97 , but it will not let me convert it to a Word document.

I get as far as message on screen saying something like "there are unmarked changes in this Document do you wish to stop at the 1st mark you can only answer yes or cancel. when I try another method a message appears saying " if you convert this document to a word doc. you will not be able to use it in mailmerge again"

Can somebody tell me how to overcome this problem

Thanking you in anticipation

Hi Barry,

You may want to also post this in the Word mailmerge newsgroup
news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsoft.public.word.mailmerge.fields
and include details on your method used when you say you have 'managed
to get the file into Word 97'.

Also check Tools=>Track Changes to see if it's been turned on for
this document.
