Excel divides by 100

Hi

I run windows XP and Office 2000 pro. and in the last month excel ha
started this problem

When you enter a an integer number in a cell excel automaticall
divides it by 100 when you press enter. eg: enter 1 you get 0.01

However, if you enter 1. in the cell, you get 1 so it is only makin
the change when I don't specify a decimal number

It is REALLY annoying

Please hel

In Excel, click on Tools | Options | Edit | uncheck the "Fixed
decimal places" box | OK.
