Excel does not export charts to html correctly

Excel X (service release 1) does not export charts correctly to html.
When I open the html file (or the accompanying .gif file), it
routinely omits several of the chart titles. I am running Panther
10.3.1. This feature seems to work correctly on a friend's machine
that's still running Jaguar 10.2.8. Any ideas regarding how to make
this work correctly under Panther would be appreciated. Thanks.

Jim,
Thanks for your post.

I was able to reproduce this issue. A workaround I noticed was to save the
whole Worksheet or Workbook as HTML; the Chart graphic created in this case
appears to preserve all Chart titles. I hope this helps. I'll make sure to
report the issue to the right people.

Have you tried updating XL to 10.1.5?

I'm running XL 10.1.5, and have had no trouble with titles when
saving charts as html in Jaguar or Panther. (OTOH, I never had that
problem with earlier versions, either)

Does it happen with charts in different workbooks? All types of
charts or just some?

If you'd like, you could send me a file that exhibits this behavior
as a .sit or .zip compressed file from the address you use above (so
that it bypasses my filters), and I'll see if it shows the same
behavior on my system.

Disregard:

I hadn't thought to save just the chart as a web page, until I saw
Derek's message - I always save the sheet.

Derek,

I tried saving the whole workbook as an HTML, but it does not resolve
the issue, at least on the files I tried. The titles are still
missing from all graphs. Thanks for passing this issue on to the
appropriate staff. If you identify another solution, please post it
to this newsgroup.
