I have an Excel spreadsheet with a numerical value and a drop-down box. In the adjacent cell, I want to perform a mathematical calculation based on the values in the two preceding cells. For instance, if B1 contains the number 100 and C1 has 'weekly', I want the result in D1 to be the product of 100 multiplied by 2. However, if C1 says 'monthly', I want to divide B1 by 2. I keep encountering error messages. Can anyone provide assistance?
