Hey All,
I've had a search on the forum and found many similar questions to this but
none of the workarounds suit my situation. What is want to know is:
Is it possible to create a drop-down list via data validation that will use
the formatting applied to the source data list? In other words, if I have ten
items in a source list for my validation all of which have different
background colours, is it possible to have the drop-down list reflect the
background colour of the option selected?
I realise that conditional formatting can be used for up to 4 options, but
this method is very cumbersome to apply and useless for a larger number of
options. Is there ANY way to achieve the above?
Thanks in advance,
Al.
