Excel error message when exporting from IE

I am developing a web page with multiple select boxes
contained in it, which are used to select which rows and
columns of data are to be selected from an Oracle
database. The results are then displayed in a table. In
some cases, when I try to export the table into Excel, I
get the error "An unexpected error has occured." Not
really sure what to do with this since that's all it
says. Any ideas?
