Excel Errors with Data saved from Showcase Query

I'm running Excel 2003 and continue to get the error that Excel has
encountered a problem and must close when working with a spreadsheet of data
that was originally queried from an AS400 running the Showcase Query program.
Is anyone else experiencing these errors? Does anyone have a suggestion?
