I have created and saved a document in excel 97. As I was using a different
PC, I edited the document in excel 2000. I opened the document again in
excel 97 and manage to save it a few times. However, when I try to save it
again, the problem appears so I closed the document. When I tried to open
again, it gives error "testing.xls cannot be accessed. The file may be
read-only, or you may be trying to access a read-only location. Or, the
server the document is stored on may not be responding".
I was able to open and repair the document in excel 2000 but most of the
data are not in order. Could the problem due to editing the document using
different excel versions? Any way to recover? Please advise, thanks.
