Excel files do not open in XP version

Hi,

Encountered a very strange problem at a customer.

We have installed Office XP with SP1 & 2 on a Windows XP
PC.

When the user doubleclicks a Excel file it starts Excel
and the program opens, but only the grey backrgound shows -
and the file does not open. The user needs to choose Open
inside Excel and pick a file to open it.

The other Office programs do not show this problem.

We´ve tried reinstalling Excel, this did not solve the
problem.

Anyone seen the same case?

Yes, this one frequently shows up here.

Start Excel, choose Tools, Options, General from the menu and uncheck
"Ignore Other applications".
