Excel Files-Office 97

Billy Proctor

I copied several excel files from one computer to another
via CD. Now, when I open an excel file, it says there is
already a file by that name open.

Any ideas on what may be causing this?

Thanks

1. Do not attempt to open files directly from the CD. Copy to hard drive
then open.

Note: when you copy a file to CD it becomes "read-only". When you copy back
to hard drive it remains "read-only"

Go into Windows Explorer and de-select the "read-only" attribute.

Try again to open from hard drive.
