Excel files suddenly need a password to open

I've got a client who emails Excel files which are created from
templates and contain cells which are protected and also a macro with
password protection. The password for both cells and macro are the
same. The original templates were created with Excel 2000. Now when the
files are dragged and dropped from Outlook Express to a network shared
folder some of them are asking for a password to open them using Excel
2003. They can be opened using the password which protects both the
cells and the macro. This problem has only surfaced since I upgraded to
XP and Office 2003.

I'd suggest asking in a newsgroup related to Excel.

This newsgroup is for questions about security in Access, the database
product that's part of Office Professional.
