excel files

I just upgraded from an old clamshell ibook to a powerbook. On the
ibook I had os9.2 and office2001. On the new powerbook I have
os10.2.8. I am trying to move an os 9.2 office2001 excel file from my
ibook to the new powerbook officeX. But I get a message that the
application is not available to open the file. Is there anyway for
officeX to open the os9.2 office2001 file?

Try dragging the file to the Excel icon in the Dock.

If you do a Get Info on the file, you can select which application to open.
Then select Change all.
