excel folders

I previously had Excel(probably 97 version, since I was
running Windows 98) on my old computer(which went
dead)..I copies the files on a floppy to pull on new
computer, running XP window. How can I copy these old
files onto my new computer.

Have you considered using Windows Explorer?

Are you speaking of *.xls files created with Excel or the Excel program
itself?

If *.xls files, just open Windows Explorer and select the floppy drive into
which you inserted your floppy disk. Select the files and copy them to the
hard drive on the new computer.

If you were thinking you could move the Excel program itself to the new
computer: forget it. You will need the original program disk(s) or purchase
the Excel program.
