Excel formula

I am trying to create a formula for my spreadsheet. In column a i want the
actual hours/minutes worked (24.30 hours), and in column b i want the
convereted hours worked (24.50 hours). Is there a formula when I enter the
hours/minutes worked in column a that converts column b to the converted
hours?

What results do you expect if these were your entries:

15.59 = ?
12.03 = ?

This formula returns 24.5 based on your sample of 24.30 = 24.50...

=INT(A2)+(TIME(0,MOD(A2,1)*100,0)*24)

Assuming you're entering a true time value in column a, such as 24:30
(although you could have a different format applied to use a decimal
seperator), you can just do this:

Formula in B2:
=A2*24
Format as a number to show 2 decimal places.
