Excel Formulas in a List

When I copy Excel formulas/formulae down a column it copies the formulas into the cells but they display the result for the cell at the head of the column. That is, when I click on any cell in the column, the formula is displayed in the formula bar but the number (the result) shown in the cell is the result for the first cell in the column. How do I get them to display the actual result in each cell.

Please help.

Sounds like calculation is set to manual. Either change it to automatic in
the preferences, or press F9 to recalculate the sheet. (Note: if the sheet
needs to be calculated the word CALCULATE will appear in the status bar in
the bottom.)
