Excel formulas not resolving

Hello,
I have an Excel document with several sheets. The first
sheet is a summary sheet that links to other sheets with
more information. I have a formula on the summary sheet,
=IF(Class3!B2="","",Class3!B2), which should resolve to
030825A. It used to work fine, but I've been out of the
office for a week and now it has stopped working. If I
edit any cell with this formula, it stops working. Has
anyone had a similar problem with Excel refusing to
calculate a formula? And if so, do you happen to know why
and how to fix it? Thanks.

Loren,

Might someone have set your calculations to manual?
Try pressing F9, if the formulas then work do this:
Tools -> Options and under the calculation tab change
it back to automatic. Otherwise I wouldn't know what
it would be?

I mean that instead of processing the formula and
determining that the result should be 030825A, the
contents of the cell just shows the formula itself.

After looking around on the newsgroup a bit, I thought it
might be that the formulas were set to Manual as well, but
no luck.

What really gets me is that if I go to the function
creation box from the insert menu or just click the = next
to the cell contents box, the formula creation shows that
the formula syntax is correct and it calculates the
correct result, but it doesn't transfer that to the cell
in the spreadsheet. Becoming very frustrated..
