Excel functions in notebook

Is there a way to embed a functional spreadsheet into a
notebook? I have onenote 2007 and office Pro 2003. I want to be able
to collect data over a period of time and then grraph it.

Using "Insert | Files ..." you can embed an Excel sheet in ON and open
it from ON.
But there is no way to see and/or edit the data *inside* ON.

Unfortunately OneNote does not support OLE which is the technology that
enables this. I don't know if it ever will either. OLE is pretty old and I
don't know of any other modern replacement for it. I'm not an expert in OLE
so I don't know for sure, but OneNote definitely doesn't support it now.
