Excel Hangs

Excel used to work. But now when I try to open Excel a file opens but I
get the color wheel and it hangs. Oddly, this only happens on my
account. When I go to my husband's account it doesn't happen. I
reinstalled Office but not only did it not fix the problem but now I
get an error when opening MS Word. Help!! I can't find a way to
actually uninstall and do a clean install either.

Cannot help with the "hanging" issue.

As far as reinstalling goes, in the Applications folder (assuming that
you've gone with the default, and you're using Office 2004 in OS X),
there will be an Office folder, and somewhere in there an uninstall
application. Always use that to remove Office, not delete (or
drag-to-trash).

It did help - thanks! I had looked and looked but just wasn't seeing
it. Your post prompted me to use Sherlock (wow - that's a fast tool!)
and of course it is was right there (under Additional Tools). The
remove and fresh install cured the problem.
